just want to know what does a 4age smallport normally idle at???

oh ok... sumtimes mine idles at 1000 -1200rpm and sometimes it also drops down to 700 and then goes straight up 2 1000-1200rpm

1000 when cold.

Meh wouldn't worry. Mine eratically idles between 1500 and 2500 http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

My car idles where it wants... and I let it. We get on well.

vacuum leak?

all you people with erratic idles, thats not normal and there is something wrong.
which may or may not effect the greater living of your engine

hmmm i dnt think its a vacum leak coz my old motor was doin it aswell

mine used to idle at about 950.. thats with qauds, and a tune that only uses a TPS...

check your base timing.. anywhere under 1000rpm will be fine.. if you idle it high all the time (like 2000rpm) you can cause damage in the long term..
