I resently bought a 2WD 82 hilux SR5 (i think) on the cheap http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tup.gif , but it failed several pink slip checks badly http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tdn.gif . I have since chosen this as my diff upgrade into my AE71. Does any one know how much it costs to do the mounts to suit this? And who would do it?

What are the rules about running differant stud patterns front and rear.

Are the front brakes off a hilux any good for an upgrade? much work, or not worth it at all? or any other ford stud pattern disk suitable? i plan on running sprinter struts also.

Cheers

if you are getting the mounts swapped over you may as well redrill the axles to 4 stud. you can get nice 4x4 wheels if you choose to stay 6 stud, but you won't be able to run matching rims front to rear obviously.

look at the issue of DB before the one out now it has a guide on what needs to be done.

contact a diff shop for pricing.

The 2WD hilux's are 5 stud, the same pattern as on Falcon's. As we know some falcon's came stock with deep dish rims in 14 15 and now 16 inch rims that are piss easy to get cheap, so no more stuggeling to get deep dish rims any more as after market mags are plentiful http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif .

Also what do people know about hilux front break upgrade? or maybe even falcon?

An uprade for Cressida's (mx83) is to use Skyline r32 calipers with falcon rotors. Not sure on the details exactly, probably find more info on toymods. Might be able to adapt this idea to ra60 or ma61 struts? but then you have the whole positive castor thiong to deal with.

Or you could use Skyline 4 spots on s13 struts? I'm not sure if Nissan 5 stud is the same as Falcon but it could be worth looking into
