Hey blu 86,
Lexus is200, great to drive around, smooth, comfy great at handling for a stock car.
um underpowered(but you can judge for urself if u test drive). serviced every 10,000km
by the book Genuine parts are a bit overpriced but being "luxury vehicle" ya get that. i think
from memory front pads are $200ish and rotors are $250each. (which wear out rather rappidly
depending on driver round the 25000-30000km mark. Any other specific questions just ask and
i'll see what i can remember lol. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

toyota altezza and the lexus is200 are different
altezza is SXE10
is200 is GZE10
the SXE10 comes with the glorious Beams Dual VVTi 3SGE with it's 224hp where as the GXE10 has the not so flash, altough very very smooth 1G-FE 6 pot with 160hp, also with VVTi,
i helped my mate build a very nice white one. 82URK Is200 GXE10.. we strapped a rb20 turbo on it and makes very good power/torque 197hp @ the wheels on 5psi.. fuel system and unichipped, pulls very hard and has been turbo for about 6 mts now.. no probs...
the brakes are very good, the 6spd that they both share feels like magic! the ratios are perfect for a small addition of boost.. like a DC5 type R..
i would get one.. but would want an Altezza, or at the very least turbo the 1G or 1/2JZ it...
alternativley get the IS300.. factory VVTi 2JZ NA with 6spd... spend a little more and get the 2J you will not be dissapointed!

only problem is you cant buy/import altezza's into australia.
getting a front cut and coverting is becoming more viable as the price comes down.
i think theyre actually going to become pretty cheap.. they sold ALOT of them, you see them advertised for 17k all the time and ive heard of them going for alot less.
i will own one in a few years for sure.

exept the 300 doesnt come in manual,
still a fresh ride tho,
is200 = toyota's later answer to smaller FR set up

It's the only 4-door worth driving other than a JZX100 chaser.
Once the hachi becomes too rough for the old bones, it'll be time to... "upgrade"

Hektik 20x6.5 Ozzie tyres spekialz are the bomb,

why do people get sukt into these krome wheel and nankang 185/15/20, pakages
they are cheap and nasty, im surprised that they are even legal to sell in australia im sure they would snap under heavy cornering loads, and they all use the term VIP when describing the look, VIP is a S650 merc with $15,000 Brabus wheels

They aren't eligible under SEVS because the body style was available here through Toyota as a volume import.
Damn government...............

So that means we have to wait 15years to import them for road use... that sucks.
