supra vs sprinter

ok ok which is faster a supra mark 3 with a 1jzgte with a w58 gearbox a sprinter with a 20v or a sprinter with a 3sget, or in other words how can i make my sprinter kill a supra mark 3 with this set up.

hmmm a 20V 1.6ltr 4 cylinder to beat a 3ltr 6 cylinder turbo never..

a 1jz to beat a 2 ltr tubo always.

OR

hoardes of small japanese plush cartoon characters and some fake NOS bottles (two of the big ones) will do the trick.

OR

Drop a 1G with single turbo in and be understeer king.

Honestly i think the 2nd option is your best choice.

funniest post ive seen for a long time... and seriously mate if you want to win in a straight line why dont you buy something like a full hektik gen3 commodore uleh, if you have a look at most of the cars on this forum they r nothing much more than a n/a 16v/20v there is the odd 4agte and 3sgte out there and i dont even think that would beat a supra, heres a new idea.... go back to skool in the new year and tell your mates your buying a commodore...youll be the most popular boy in skool

Sprinters aren't a bad choice for a drag car sort of. I don't know much about drag racing (what's there to know) but just have a look at this web site anyway. I don't know if it will help at all.

Why don't you just get a copy of ModernMotor magazine from 1985 and compare with specs in the back pages.

Oh, that would be 4A-C v 7M-GE. You can find the specs anyhow.

Then go and get some results from Group A racing at Bathurst or wherever. AE86 times v Supra with 5M-GE I think it was. This may not be fair because I think some Supras often broke or crashed.

As a platform to build a 500hp race car, the Supra will be a better start.

As a platform to build a 200hp race car, the AE86 will be better (as it's lighter).

beat a supra in a straight line? fraid not possible
beat a supra in a hillclimb? 4ag decent tune even then an outside chance
beat a supra in a mountain run? definately doable with a bit of coin on the suspension, 20v or smallport, good tyres its definately doable

and i must stress this last point, your tyre is all that keeps your car on the road! cheap out on tyres and wrap yourself around a tree, spend some dosh on tyres learn to drive properly

a licence does not mean u can drive properly, a licence means ur another hazard on the road that i have to look out for

thats the stupidest question ever.....if you knew anythin about any car then it would be pretty obvious to you that a n/a 1.6 twin cam, is never going to beat a 6 cyl twincam turbo..... go read some books..

Step1: gearbox in neutral, handbrake off
Step2: Supra behind splintah
step3: GO....

oh and if you worried about the paint get a matress and some ocky straps.
