thanks that sounds good, you didnt need to modify the rails at all?

in my experiance the KE70 rails are the same but the AE71 rails seemed to be a little different?

chances are one of the rails was bent or something though because i'd be very suprised if ke70 had different rail to ae71

AE86 rails do not fit KE70. 2 holes do line up and it will hold the seat in enough to drive it but I don't trust a seat held in by 2 bolts only in the case of an accident.

weird, i put my ae86 rail into my ke70 and a AE86 stock seat into a KE70. yet neither fit an ae71

WEIRD

Which bolt holes dont line up? The front or back?

you can put 2 on one side in but the other two wont line up..... i think they are too wide.

wonder if there is a difference in year model 70's

as in

late ke70 and AE71 have the bolt holes that don't line up

and early KE70 does

just a thought.

yeah i bought my hachi with no seats, tried putting AE71 seats in it and they were too.. narrow? i think? one side fit the other didnt. you could bend them enough to fit 4 bolts in but then the sliding function of the rails didnt work. the Ke70 seat fit though but sat way too high.. now i have ADM ae86 seats (woot http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tdn.gif)

agreed gilly, weird city.

Drill a new thread hole or tek screw the rails in, or drill a hole and ziptie it, there a few ways. Id centre it up first just incase its offset to the other rails a little bit.

im all for the use of zipties and i'd use them on just about anything EXCEPT seats and seatbelts! thats lunicy!
