Hey guys,

Quick question. I have a JDM (I think) T50 box and between about 95 km/h and 115 km/h in 5th gear on the highway my gearknob tends to make this massifely loud vibration, can't even hear my exhaust over it. Any idea on the cause, is this normal etc..?

Cheers.

NO its not normal.

JDM T-50 clutch slave and fork on drivers side.
ADM T-50 clutch slave and fork on passengers side.

I dont know gearboxes to well but sounds like 5th is shagged, Does it get slammed into 5th on spirited runs ?
Maybe you should look into another T-50 if its a major problem.
Try some anitshock oil or automatic fluid and see how it sounds and feels then ?

check your mount as well, may be shagged. also exhaust not touching anything?, mine does, so it does a similar thing SOMETIMES

I don't use 5th apart from highway driving. It used to be a bit hard to get into 5th, but it's since fixed itself months ago.

And I'm not too sure if the exhaust is touching anything. Don't have a damn hydraulic jack here and the stock scissor jack is shit so I might wait untill I get my jack back. But yeah does it all the time without fail on the highway between 95-115km/h.

is it always in 5th? does it vibrate between 95-115kmph in 4th? it could be something after your gbox such as your tailshaft out of balance
