I recently purchased some secondhand AJPS coilovers, but they didn't come with any shocks.

...so now i need some. I was wondering what inserts are used in them, and in particular what car they are from. I can get some konis at a good price, so i need to know either the car they are from, or a part number.

The other problem i can see is the gland nut threads not being compatible between different shock manufacturers. can anyone shed any light on this?

Cheers guys.

According to his website he has two different versions, one uses a KYB excel g shock and the other the KYB AGX adjustable shock.

they are just the type of shock not the actual specific length that they use.

I would guess that they are sw20 rear or st165 front (which are same PN by some manufacturers http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wink.gif )

I guess dave would be the best person to answer your question though http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

hm im confused as to what shocks to buy, i have shortened 86 struts and have rung up pedders to find out cost for sw20 rear shocks, although they only have the pedders vrd, not the sport ryder, now i dont want to waste my money with a shock that is not stiff enough, or are the standard sw20 rears good enough with out buying a more expensive shock? thanks for any help
