was just doing a search when i saw that 3t engines came out with t50 22 spline gearboxes? is this true and will i be able to bolt my bellhousing on it to fit my 4agte? What cars to the 3t engines come out in????

a mate of mine did this

4A T50 bell housing + 3T T50 + T18 tailshaft + T18 diff


you can't use a 86 or 71 tailshaft as the 3T T50's have a 20 spline output shaft. input shaft is the same 22 spline. if you runa tseries do it as above. if you use a 70/71 borg diff you'll have to stick with the normal 71/86 style t50 as you can't mix and match tailshaft components to get it to work..

you can use a t-18 diff and 70-71 borgy, i run this setup, i realise now this is a useless post as i cant even remember what tailshaft i am using... "idiot" sorry guys...
t-18 box seems to hold up alot better than the other t-50... dunno why

no it al depends on how much power the box was built for.
