Hey

Looking at getting a T28 turbo, does anyone know what the power figures are, what hp are they capable of??

Its high flowed with 0.61AR turbine and a 0.47AR compressor, going to be running it at about 19psi, are they a better turbo than gt4 3sgte ct26?

Cheers

2 different types of t28 theres a bush bearing ( on sum s14's ) and ball bearing ( on sum s15's) ive seen them do just under 200rwkw on a s13 SR20DET they dont hold boost up high but came on pretty quick and pretty early..

what do u want from the turbo? torque curve, boost level and boost threshold wise?

Its the bush bearing type. How much boost can they handle?? apparently ct26 celica will only handle 14psi before going to its limits, i wanna run 19psi.

i want something that comes on pretty early, not so top endish, nice and torquey. Its going to be used mainly for hill climbs and track days, but will be registered for road use on special days. :-)

bush bearing wont spool up as quick but should take 14-15psi ok for a while ive seen this on heaps of s14's, id personally chase after a s15 BB t28 or a GT28RS.. they can handle 17psi for a while i dunno about 19psi so i wont say yes ( but my mate ran that in his CA18det but not for long b4 the turbo blew).. maybe look into a GT2871R or GT2876R or GT2540.. u can get them all for under $1400 brand new and they are still small enough to come on early and hold boost for a while...

or if u want sumthing that will give u a good rush i got a 100% brand new GT30R billett dual ball bearing (76mm trim) turbo sitting here for $1500 worth $2200 for fantasy performance.

i may take you up on that but not for a few weeks... any pics? what turbine ar you got on it? its not the one with built in wastegate is it?

other than that option, i'd be better off with the standard ct26, there's no benefit in the t28 is there??

have a look at a td04 off a 01 bug eye wrex, they spool up real well on a 4age
