Odometer spline?

i am considering buying a ke30 corolla and the guy im buying it off says that the odometer spline is the wrong size so ill have to replace it with the correct one. i was just wondering whjat this part is, how cheap it is and how easy to replace it is?

it would only be the wrong size if he has changed it and why would he have changed it, Is it a stock ke30 and ask on rollaclub THEY WOULD KNOW.
