Seatbelt Tension

hey guys,

i'm going for rwc and my car hasnt been used in a while, after putting the interior back together my seat belts dont lock up everytime. nothing has been changed and they were fine before. just want to know if there is any way to adjust the tension on the seat belt so that they lock up with less force. because i am not too keen on buying a new set of ae86 belts as they are quite expensive. also if they are not adjustable is there any car that have the same belts and locking mechanism that i could pull from the wreckers?

I used some out of a ST16* Celica, but I don't know if latter models work or not.
