View Full Version : 4AC to 4AGE fuel system

I have been looking around at the forum and have not found a good awnser to the following.

I am converting a 4AC ae86 to a 4age - the fuel system need work.

This is a list of what i was thinking - thought please

ae82 Intank fuel pump
ae82 fuel filter
ae82 fuel pressure regulator
replace all hose with EFI rated hose

What else would you recomend ?

not essential.. but is advisable in the future if you don't like having your tank on the full side..

ditch the AE82 filter..

use an inline Z200 8mm in/out for your filter, cheap.. like $8 cheap..

use what ever fuel pressure reg that corrosponds with the fuel rail your using.. or even injectors/ecu if you can.. not that it makes too much of a difference..

VR commodore filter straight from super cheap, $14 dollars and fits snug into a EFI rated hose. Use a Vl commodore pump, will be more than enough to pump fuel for a modded 4age.

Fuel pressure regulator, isnt that already on the 4age fuel rail?
As for a surge tank its not nessecary but probably a good thing if you can spare the cash while doing the conversion
