that is fucking stupid, why would u put an ls1 in a skyline? just ruin the dynamics of a race bred beast
goober
14th February 2007, 05:50 PM
to be different. and parts for the ls1 are probably heaps cheaper. and the low down torque would be heaps better, so it would be easier to stay in a higher gear while drifting.

and a r34 is by no means a race bred beast. they are a 2 door family car.

you are obviously only a toyota fan and not a car enthusiast, and can't see that this is a pretty special creation that has had a lot of work put into it.

hehe thats enough of that, im sure every member here is a fan other than toyota's just prob not as much.
just because u only like toyota's it doesn't stop you from being a car enthusiast, i think the next time you come onto this forum think what your actually writing before u actually write it. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/rant.gif
as for R34's, they are a high performance sports car that not too many can rival. if u want to look up a real car look up: r34 gtr z-tune 500bhp
as far as monks comments, im sure all he was trying to say was if u want to talk about nissans keep it to www.skylinesaustralia.com as this is a toyota forum not a nissan one. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

The LS1 motor IS the corvette motor, they just changed a few minor things around, Sump was one that springs to mind... don't know the rest
That skyline was built with reason, to be drifted, to win. So good luck to them. Looks like a fair bit of work has gone into it.

That R34 is here in adelaide. Pretty sure its the new GT autosound car.
First lap around mallala it blow a turbo seal and started pissing smoke out but what do you expect from KKR turbos.
From what i seen of the car it wasn't the best but thats my opinion

how is a R34 not a sports car???
family car wtf??????
JinxD
14th February 2007, 09:17 PM
thay sell it as a family car to but i think its more a sports car. As for ruining the car im pritty shure ls1 is all alloy and all rbs are cast iron but i think thay weigh about the same anyway personaly I like it but im not a massive fan of high torque drift looks like just the wheels spining so hard its pushing the car forward as opposed to momentum.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
always love reading opinions from the uneducated!!
1. the owner george spartilis is driving the car in DA...not christian! christian picked up the drive in the CTS sponsored S1480
2. believe it or not but the LS1 is smaller, lighter and producing more torque and power than what a similar amount spent on a Rb25/Rb26 would make
3. by using the LS1 they have also been able to push the engine further back into the engine bay, helping even out the weight distribution and taking weight away from the front wheels
two threads anyone interested should read....rather than read about the speculation and rubbish other posts here

not starting shit here but i think its almost impossible for u to say that u wouldnt consider a gtr if u could/can afford it. ae86 isnt the only formidable track/drift car on this planet. where is it your place to choose what cars i should and shouldnt have an interest in?

Its all good, I was just beign a c**t. in reply to the claims..
"and a r34 is by no means a race bred beast. they are a 2 door family car."
As for ownign a GTR, your right I would consider it is I could afford it. Infact i use to own a Gts-t.
and if the oppotunity arose I def would buy another one.
partly due to the fact that they ARE a race bred beast.

i think there are some super gay skylines out there. Like an r33 four door auto non turbo.
But you get good ones like a 32 4 door with rb26 conversion http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif
ahh the simple pleasures of 4 doors.

i am not all the fussed on Holden\GM cars but mating the LS1 to a R34 seems to have produced 1 hell of a package. Would be good to see a V8 driver that can actually drift and isn't a handbrake hero.
But still remember the Hatchi's came 1 and 2 last year against good cars and even better drivers. 86 for the WIN!!!

As far as i know Christian is drifting the CTS 180, George is drifting this R34.
And he is not selling his S15 becuase of this, its other personal reasons.
