Hi

Just wondering how much this can help my 20v perform better

also, is doing intake and exhuast porting job worth it?

I was just wondering becuase i wasn't sure if the 20v has decent airflow already in stock form.

20v head have the best airflow of all 4age's it all depends how much coin u got and how much power ure after if i was u before id go putting all that money into your head witch already has good flow properties id get a good bottom end pistons rods crank mybe and some decent bearings!!

Assuming it's a silvertop, then yes, the ports will benefit from some cleaning up as they're quite poor. The exhaust side isn't too bad though.
And yes you will get some benefit from a three-angle valve seat job.

Bills right, the silvetop intake ports are pretty lousy and even if a few hours are spent with a die grinder and a carbide burr it would help it heaps. The blacktop is better but still theres room for improvement, I have pics of mine if you want to see it.

by all means sam post em up if it isn't any hassle.

i was pretty much sussing out my options while the 20v is out of the car and pulled apart, still doing my research.

A better question would be is it worth it for what you want from the engine?

My mate just spent over $1000 on head work for another engine, sure there were gains to be made by doing it - but he could have got a lot more substantial gains by spending the same amount of money elsewhere on the engine. If its the basis for a big power build up then by all means do it, but if you have a limited budget and a modest power figure to aim for - consider if the money would be best spent elsewehere http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wink.gif

I agree tottaly with highlife. I am too used to doing everything by myself.

If I was given a 20v with a budget I would put an aftermart ecu on, good pipes and intake.
