Looks sik

pretty much the same look I'm going for minus front lip (and mine's beige lol), with 14x8 wats on front, mk3s on rear.

also has drooling pedobear sticker in exact spot

how much gze conversion set ya back roughly? Would love to go gze, but due to cash and simplicity probably going N/A 16v.

Cheers, Ben.

well probably all up its cost me a bit, i killed a 101 gze, had to replace it with this ae92 one, but i'd say anywhere between 2-3k if you had a complete stock ke70 and needed all the bits to change it over (crossmembers, box, clutch shit, pedals etc.)
really depends what u want the car for though i suppose...daily drive n/a would be nice.

but figured i had the cash so took it one step further.

turbo conversion is on the cards soon though

Best ke70 in WA. Did you do the conversion yourself?
looks hot, nice work.

todd
22nd March 2009, 09:21 PM
the guy i bought the car off did the conversion initially (rattly ae101 gze + all the other crap needed) but swapped the engine out since so to answer your question yes, and no lol

could do it again if i wanted to on another car, but cannot be bothered swapping shells right now (plus the engineering papers are applicable to this shell only)

the rust gives it character, todd lacks all character.. his car makes up for it
you fixed the fuel filter yet? LOLZ THIS IS SO SIQ

todd
13th April 2009, 10:25 PM
lawl yeah that was fixed a long time ago, then replaced again, then the fuel pump called it quits so it was replaced with a new bosch vl turbo item.

its nice to have one less whine whilst driving, now i only have the gearbox and diff to worry about/do my head in.

RUST FTW

looks good man i like it!! :):):)

todd
22nd May 2009, 07:27 PM
meh would be nicer if they were 8.5s but thats ok.

not going to street it like this, the caliper fouls on the mounting 'hub' lol, so spacers would be needed 10mm or so, but jsut cbf at the moment. plus it means i have to flare the other guard. blurgh.

benzo
22nd May 2009, 10:58 PM
looks sweet mate, big fan of this car

tight rolled guards look so much better than flares tho :yeah:

so this is how it sits at the moment.
ae86 has stolen the engine and deciding whether to go turbo now while its out or not.

feel free to tell me otherwise?

R&D Mechanical
2nd August 2009, 03:38 PM
do it :) just make sure you have ALL the shit you need for a turbo

have fun!

Nikkojoe
2nd August 2009, 04:18 PM
keep it gze for the moment until you have ALL the bits you need. :)

todd
2nd August 2009, 04:37 PM
lawl yeah, i just did a quick price guestimation and im a little bit off being able to afford all new stuff that i want. so turbo is on the backburner for a while yet lol.

scrap that idea.
