Skype is like msn, but utilises the 'phone' feature more..

MSN allows you to 'mic' to another contact wheras,
Skype allows you to do that as well as you can call land lines and mobiles for cheap, you buy credit n stuff..

Pretty much I could call you on your comp and it would ring like a phone and you can pick up, hang up etc; so really its a phone just on the net.
But because your on my contact list its free, whereas if i called for pizza its like 10 cents.

You need a mic as well.

Free to download and free to use..

Have a good look in the next harvey norman/dick smith cattledogs and you will see VoIP phones.. thats what Skype is.. 'Voice Over IP"
