From a VIC boy!

This setup is ridiculously good, fastest car out of a group of about 20 AE86's and it had an old tired 4ac running it.
Ive just bought the exact same setup, not realising thats what you were running, and it makes me alot happier with my purchase!

Im genuine in saying that, ask anyone from VIC who has been driving with Jez.

Can also sweeten the deal with my custom Chookhouse Chooning model NCRA's.

These are 25mm thick, 16mm offset and are machined out of 7075 Ally. Stronger than steel, lighter than steel. Overall track increase of 32mm and reduced bump steer.

These will be an additional $50.

From the pics it looks like your running these things as low as they go, IE with no spacer in the front struts, is that correct?

rallystanza
12th March 2007, 04:59 PM
No, You are incorreect.

The strut tube has been shortened properly to suit the short stroke TOkikos. This is the proper way to do this. The strut also has the small space in the base, as per the correct way of doing this.

The spring seat where it is at the moment is not where i run them. The spring seat was wound right down so I could clean them.

When i had them in my car they could go lower than what they were set at. I had about 25-30mm left to go lower but cmon, no need.

Sorry, I didnt mean to imply anything was incorrect, Just trying to guage what ride height you have these made for, as I have had a bit of experience with the HTS coilover setup before. I was just sizing up the size of the insert with the strut tube to try and guess what size spacer you were running.

rallystanza
13th March 2007, 07:33 AM
Yeah thats cool.

Didnt mean to sound like that. Just wanted to point out the fact that these are done correctly. Either way the HTS are run you are looking at a well reduced right height to really get them into the area where the stroke is at its best. These are very short stroke as you know then.

Hope I answered your question anyway.

Hey mate

If you decide to go down the path of seperation i am interested in the front coil over setup only. ie. just the struts, springs, tophats, etc.

Let us know!

rallystanza
13th March 2007, 05:17 PM
OK will let you know if i seperate.

By top hats do you mean the top spring hat or strut tops.

If you mean strut tops I have not listed them anywhere included in this deal.
