Need some advice on how to DIY gaurd roll, im planning on doing it tommorow. The little lip that tucks inside the gaurd, do you bend that out or bash it in with the rest?

i did a mates yesterday.
you fold the lip under rather than fold it out.

i used a hammer and dolly to fold the lip under tight, then put the dolly on the crease of the guard (on the oustide) then hammer the lower edge of the guard from the inside. this causes the crease to flatten out as the lip comes out. dont hammer hard just light taps and take your time, also dont over do it.
if your patient you wont need much bog at all to smooth it out.

i also have a guard roller. no this will not do the job.

the guard roller will only fold the lip under, it will not flare the guard. if you try and force it out it will buckle the guard.

i use the guard roller to just fold the lip under, then hammer and dolly the rest.
