ok, my rear right drum brake was siezing a few days ago. i went to the brake specialist and he said that it is the rear drum slave cylinders locking up form being old. I replaced both of the slave cylinders in the rear and everything seemed to be sweet. Tonight i went for a drive and the problem has occured again. It is only the rear right that is siezing as the rear left can be turned easily by hand. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

it could be the cable has too much tension, i had a point where the whole rear end locked up after some work id done, had to adjust the cable and was all sweet.
Try that, if not take it to a brake specialists and get a quote and find out what it is, definately

sounds like the handbrake has been adjusted too much at the shoes them selves.
can you easily get the drum off the affected side?

The drum is really hard to get off on the affected side. It needs a good hammering to get off!

yeah the shoes are up too tight
ummm i don't have a pic handy to show you what you need to adjust.
in between the shoes below the wheel cylinder, will be a little star shaped cog. you need to lift up the little lock tab and turn it so the shoes move closer together. turn maybe 5 clicks at a time, then refit the drum, pull the handbrake on and off a couple of times so the shoes centralise them selves and see how tight it is then.
the drum should touch the shoes when you are putting it on/taking it off, but you shouldn't have to froce it on or off.
hope that helps

Ok, i have re adjusted the shoes. I think the problem might be that everytime you pull up the handbreak the shoes realign and step out one notch if necessary. The problem got worse when i was practicing 80kmph handbreak slides into a corner. Has anyone else had this problem!
