That sucks man, but at least your car was still there.
I wasn't so lucky, my ksev was found striped and burnt out at a local dumping spot.
Got any anti-theft devices fitted in case they come back for the rest?

Ouch, sorry about that. That must've been a very sad site, those bastards!
I bought a steering wheel lock and removed the battery just in case. What pisses me off is that there are so much newer/more expensive cars with better stereos in the parking lot, that didn't necessarily have an alarm system, so WHY MINE? :shout:

the genes should be cut out of the system..
poor shit, i hate the thought of that kind of shit, our family moved over from south africa to get away from this shit, i know you are in pr, but it seems to be sprouting in australia, people too lazy to have a decent crack at life.

moral of the story: dont install a cd player
happened to me once before and insurance didnt cover it completely and when they did replace it the people who installed it gave me all sorts of dodgey electrical problems

You could leave it loose in the dash that way they don`t have to rip your dash out to get to it, although you might be a bit iffy about that after the 2nd or 3rd time.

mj86, not everything on this forum is about sticking up for poor people, noone even mentioned the word poor, if you are so concerned about everyone not liking thieves, people who are lacking in the moral department, you either have to look at your own beliefs, or refrain from commenting.

Well, I know that now. But since I like music from time to time I came up with this:
An amp under the seat.
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/0/7/6/9812.jpg
there it only has zip ties, but I screwed it onto the floor later.
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/0/7/6/9813.jpg
You can see it when the door's open, but from outside it's impossible. (Nevermind the soda stain on the seat :shout: damn passengers)

And I plugged an RCA-to-audiojack cable to it, which then connects to my iPod and play music from there. Sounds great, although its a bit distracting to clickwheel your way through songs while driving.
Hopefully when the fagg*t thieves come back they wont see anything worth taking and just leave.

that looks like a pretty decent setup ^
i would have mounted it in the middle however so it wouldnt be as visable from the outside.
youll find that a clickwheel isnt anymore distracting as scrolling through a massive amount of music on a headdeck. mates of mine have hooked up ipods through headdecks and it takes years to find what you want. i hooked mine up with a aux and its faster to use the scroll wheel. this isnt as good quality however

that sucks about your car man. i moved my head unit to the glove box so people wouldnt see the stereo and try to steal it. but im paranoid enough to remove a lead to the dizzy every night just in case somewhere does get in... although they would have no chance cause my bedroom window is right above the car and if someone farted near my car id hear it

looks like a good audio setup, only problem i can see is not much venting for the amp

i copped a kick in the front guard a while back, compleatly random, i do know they were wearing volleys though...
never found the prick. and it cost me 200 bucks to get the panel back to "98%"
moral is. dont park at the station. (i take the dizzy lead with me now... just in case someone has an objective next time.)
