hey guys new to this site and na 4ages but im buliding a 86 with a na 4age and have some twin 40mm solexs choked down to 32mm. has any one done this before is so what do you recommend? as in size of the chokes? also is there any one in SA that deals with carby fed 4age?

i reckon 32's would be to small for a 4age man... the norm seems to be 40-45...

these are just carbs a mate had in the shed he said i can have 4 $100 do you know if you can get bigger chokes or do i need to get some 45s. also what head work should i look at? whats the biggest cam i can fit into them with out to much work?

I not a hundred % sure but if there 40mm you should be able to get them dechoked or whatever to 40mm. If you do they will be fine. Of course 45 would be better. At the price your getting them its a pritty good deal though. I thinks about 256 is the largest size cams you'd go with out much trouble. Thats with a standard fuel injection 4age anyway. Carby probably different.

Have a search a few place should come up.Tighe cams are what I've just bought. Supposted to be very well made cams.

the inner venturi would be a bit restrictive on the 32mm solex where as the venturi's on a 44PHH Mik can range from 34mm to 41mm.

others have gotten a hold of the GXRs carbies (38mm) and ran those seemingly successfully.
