hey, ok, ive had callums ma61 rims today, cleaned them up a bit for him an dalso tryed them on my car, and was verry impressed and now hoping to get some. although, they fitted onto my ke70 struts all good and then i tryed my hatchi struts(that i made/making coilovers with big brake upgrades, but they didnt fit, they did but it hit on something and dint go on properly, i was wondering if anyone has them on their hatchi and what they had to do, i was thinking liek a 5-10 mm spacer would help? what do you know?

unless you are being confused with soarer rims they should fit fine, maybe you had a break line hanging out or something, but yeah should fit fine.

if they dont have calipers do they have rotors and everything, rotors are about 15mm thick, other than that i cant say, my experience with ma61's is limited.

yeh i have all the brake assy, i need at least 14's tocover the brakes so they should be right, but its just that they didnt go onto the hubs 100% right thats all. i think that the center of the rim isnt quite big enough to cover the bearing cap thing. but you recon they should be sweet?

from what i have gathered they are a non fuss fit

should fit sweet as man, not quite sure what your prblem could be.

what brakes are being used? and what hub. chuck a disc on there, the disc thickness that is missing might be causing the rim to rub on a coilver collar.

they are the only things that can be creating your problem.

Disc on or off wont make a difference (for AE86, KE70, *A6* etc brakes) as the disc bolts to the back of the hub, rather than sliding on over the front.

yeah i thought they might be brakes other than those, i read somewhere the brakes he is using are quite large.

if the bearing cap and ring aren't fitting through the centre bore of the rim they couldn't be *E7*, 86 or 70 hubs/brakes

hmmmm the origin of the brakes will reveal all.......

MA61 rims should fit on sprinter struts no fuss, no mods needed. I have used them on mine, on my GF's and mates have used them as well at various times, they are a simple bolt on.

What was getting in the way when you put the rim on? Was it hitting the lower spring perch? as i notice in the pic you still have that on the strut, under the coilover sleeve. (dont know why, looks dodgy as, unless it was just sitting there to test fit the coilovers)

What tyres are on the MA61 rims?

Are you sure theyre AE86 struts? They could be RA? struts, as they are often used because they have bigger stub axles and bearings, although I dont think this makes too much of a difference for fitting rims. Externally they look pretty similar to AE86 struts.

surely you would be able to tell what its hitting.

I sure hope that that pic is not a finished pic of the coilovers!

I can't see what ya issue is? You shouldn't have a problem with a stock AE86 or KE70 strut assembly.
