just wanting to know if all T series centres are the same?
Im not concerned with axle sizes ATM. just if i get a centre from a TA22 diff, will it fit into a T-18 housing?
i think that it would be the same. confermation required.
cheers

all australian T series ae the same.
There were some later model T series that used bigger axles but you are generally safe if you are pulling the centre from a car that is older than 1984 and early 1985. All Zenki.. not Kouki.

TA22 are winners.
Manual TA22's have a 4.1:1 centre...which is alot better than a 3.7 or a 3.9.

thats nice... I know of a really rare s series diff centre, it was the only one released that was installed to a sprinter with the chassis number ae860003245... lol
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif what is so rare about it?

Yes most T series centers are the same, or close enough to fit.
I looked up the part numbers for AE86 diffs and can confirm this:
Early diff center and carrier is the same part as Celica, Corona, Carina, Corolla of that era. (with T series)
Late open diff center is the exact same part as AE95.
The 4.3:1 final drive for AE86 is also used in some YR31 van, and various Corona/Celica/Carina things some of which we didn't get.
The part numbers for AE86 diffs do not match any HiLux front diff. If the HiLux does have a T series front, they are slightly different parts with different numbers. I will have to look into this.

RobertoX
