Running GT28RS, bit bigger than t28. This is on a GZE with microtech running it.
A lot of people have said it would have been too laggy but I find it perfect for my needs.
Just on 14psi it hauls ass and winding it up to 20 in the coming months..

Is it still a roller bearing turbo? ur dyno curve is a bit extreme for my liking but good power for boost!

Mine ran a S15/S14(Japspec) T28BB before i upgraded. 'Apparently' it made 150rwkw on 11psi, which i find slightly hard to believe.

Upgraded to a T517z, better response, and 191rwkw @ 18psi.

Yeah ball bearing. Its basically a t28 with a bigger compressor housing.

You need to get a bit more specific with the specs of your turbos. They are not all the same, give different performance and power etc.

I have fitted a Gattet GT2876R with 0.64 exhaust housing, to a Galant VR-4. The turbo is good for roughly 400hp and thats about what we got. Or ~190kw at wheels, depending on the day/dyno.

^ so this one has a 4" inlet, and 76mm wheel.

I believe the "Disco potato" is a GT2860R with a 60mm wheel, probably a 3" inlet. Physicaly smaller, but performs better. I think this is also called a GT28RS?

The GT28 on a Silvia is smaller than both of these.

Thats just the info i was looking for http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif Just installing a turbo now and was looking at a 28rs.
Full boost by 4000rpm, which is the lowest my car seems to drop to on track....

Whats else you running?
I'm running fairly lumpy cams and a worked head... looking forward to it, should be running in 2 weeks http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

Mine is the .64? trim GT28RS. Smallport GZE with not much else. Standard injectors, cams, etc.. Just have a frontmount and 3" dump and exhaust. Even under 4000rpm its pretty responsive, so for track work with the revs kept up it would go pretty damn well.

Any idea on your injector duty cycle?

Yeah smallport. Not sure on injector duty but the guys that tuned it said it wasnt pushing it. Could have run up to 16psi before fuel would become an issue. Standard fuel pressure as well.

i have a bigport ze with a gt28rs running 10psi, factory ecu, malpassi. Had a run on 2 different dyno's...one straight after the work was done which read 210rwhp and the other about a month later which read 180ish rwhp... http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

i cant find the sheets to show the power curve but it was nowhere near as steep as 86sp...

it's getting another run in the coming weeks as ecu & injectors will be fitted shortly...i'll post up the results

Yeah injectors will be upped to 440's. Ive had a few people now say that my power curve is steep.. If anyone else has some graphs to post up, it would be good to compare. Also I think the bigports are making more power with the same mods.

Yeah, i have changed from a smallport to a bigport, the dyno run is on the 5th of May, so hopefully will get a graph then http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif
