so ive been trying to get insurance on my latest car, its a 1994 3.9i v8 Range rover Vogue SE which i paid $9500 for, AAMI wont inure anyone under thae age of 25 with a v8 and allianz will not insure it becasue the price i paid for it, their books say it worth between $16,000 and $19,000 NMRA wil but its $3,396 per year so im just sticking with the property damage and fire and theft and save the rest if i have an acco.

But yeah, c##t's they are!

Yeah and pay $300 a year for third party only...

No way!

Fire and theft is like $600 per year

the only GOOD thing they have is that you can have unlimited mods as long as they know about them (and you have an immobiliser)

or go JUSTCAR.. just car, just is[/b]

cause people pay that for full comp for more expensive newer better etc cars.

we pay less than 400 a year for full comp. agreed value etc on an 05 supercharged all wheel drive vr-x magna.

yes, well when im your mums age and i still havnt made a claim i will pay jack squat, you wont pay much more for your magna, they arnt stolen very often, they are fwd, and it is most likely un modified.

something to note, on some vehicles, insurance premiums are higher if your drive an auto.

did you try justcars insurance or some of those smaller companies

Suncorp is good, especially when you can claim a family discount. Sprinter is comprehensively insured, with all mods (including sound gear), agreed value for $5k, I'm 19 and I pay $73 per month (it costs me more to pay by the month, was something like $750 for a year if I paid it all upfront. Justcar wanted $1200 per year, no monthly payment, my first 2 children... not really, but they were pretty expensive.

I will say, when I turn 25, I will get it insured by Shannons. Their pricing is insanely good, especially if you have a clean driving record.

gotta go with Famous. $1000 for a 97 180sx. $2700 for a mate's '97 GTR (both over 25) : P

"$2700 for a mate's '97 GTR " LOL

I (only 17 keep in mind) was quoted a huge $3000/annum to insure a Fiat 124 coupe, although I'm not sure what they base it on, with such an old car.

so just went with 3rd party.

Also, if you swap a 4age into an adm sprinter, do you have to get an engineers certificate?
