tail shaft wont separate

i took my gearbox out im having alot of trouble trying to pull the tailshaft apart so i can put the shaft back into the gearbox. ive done it before and i didn't have any problems then. and ive made shore that all the bolts are out, it just doesn't want to separate out.

any ideas?

i didnt have to undo the tailshaft to get it out of the gearbox..

just undid the center bearing from the chasis and then let it drop to the floor and then it came off the gearbox together with a heap of oil onto my face http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/laugh.gif ...it went in no problems as well

I never seem to be able to gett the shaft out of the box if I just undo the centre bearing. I always undo the shaft from the diff and drop it there (this can be a bitch to seperate, use a hammer and/or a prybar), then drop the centre bearing and out it comes.
