Hey just out of curiosity are u able to run the sc12 on a 4ac?

What parts would u need from the sc12 setup and what else would you need?

Cheers

i say yes

check out AJPS members thread on the old turbo 4ac unit

boosted 4AC's can work with some limited success http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/laugh.gif

you would want a blow through application though IMO i think fuel being drawn through the supercharger may be detrimental to the teflon coating of the rotors

worth it?

meh prolly not

I was thinking of doing this once but then again I did have a gas research carby on my car that takes well to being boosted

i've used an sc14 on a holden 202 straight 6 a few years ago, was pretty easy, setup like the pic above (but mirrored as intake/exhaust are on the other side of the 202)

suck through setup is the easiest and the supercharger didnt seem to care, just used a holley carb easy!

cost:
sc14 $200
custom piping/manifolds $300
custom mounts $0 (home job)
elec fuel pump $100

few other random costs but cheap as !

its not a 4ac but same principle and its pretty easy to do, was going to on my 4ac but found a cheap 4age first http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/2thumbs.gif

supercharge 4ac, i say doot eettt http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/2thumbs.gif

there was a guy on rolla club who had forced induciton running on a 4k or maybe 5k..

anyway what he did was encase the whole carby (dunno if it was standard carby) in a box (looked like a bucket around the whole carby, and then shoved a pipe in the top which came from his turbo/supercharger. you need to do this so the inside and outside air pressures are the same ie venturi effect in the carby works. im not sure, but maybe you have to get new jets put in the carby to handle more air flow?

its just another option, that has proved to work http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

only real problem is the carb when doing a blow threw (cant use suck threw) is when you get off the throttel most carbs fule things bow up with the pressure and explode sending fuel everywhere!! atleast with turbo you have the bov to relise exsses pressure.

one way to get around this problem it to encase the carb in a sealed boost box so that the pressure is the same inside and out. only then needing a desent pump so the boost dosent blow the fuel back threw the lines.

a guy on rollaclub did this to his 4k ke55 with turbo. he made 70rwkw with it i belive. he also used a 32/36 webber. have a look in member rides and you should find it, he sold the kit just resently but you should be able to read thew the build up of it to get soem ideas

He used a 32/32 weber of a fiat, the box is made out of an air filter box from a YN57 Hilux

A 32/36 just fits inside of one of these boxes.
