anyone think a KE70 would look good with quad square headlights instead of round ones...just to be different??

Yeah quad sqaures look retro-cool, but round ones are rare enough as it is, and more stylish than squares.

shit, way to ruin my hachi project ambitions by making me want to keep the keto and doll up the front end. Sweet chocolate christ some of those are nice.

fark....

edit, i mean damn, the top pic, is basically a better lookin car than most hachi's. shit i love hachis' but maybe my keto has corrupted me.. i dunno, that thing is the hottest shit. so torn between body platforms to do up now.....

PS EDIT the daihatsu charmant you were commenting on is a KE70 wit different sheet metal and badges. that is all.

PPS anyone wit shovelnose KE70s or AE71s how much did you spend to revert to square front and/or quad light front wit early KE70 front quarters........or genuine TE jdm fronts........... PM me dollar values so i have some idea. cheers.

PM vtec, he converted from AE71 to square KE.

floody31
19th May 2007, 01:22 PM
Yeah quad roundies for the win.

On a related tangent, we really need to get hold of a Gr. 5 front airdam and one of those flat lip spoilers and mould them up.

Oh and Arjay, any more pics of that car you posted?

Converting an ae71 or 84 ke70 to a flat nose isnt too hard, takes a couple of hours, some precise measurments, a drill, some alloy sheet, and some hammering skills haha

Quads are cool, but you really need to go all the way, doing it half arse looks worse than stock.
Im rather pissed off that my carina idea has been sprung, i have been thinking about that for most of this year... tho its not like im the first person to think of doing it.

$500 bought me quad headlights, surroundsm parkers grill and JDM beaver panel.

sounds expensive but its the equivalent of kitting a hachi http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif in reality it was going to cost me $350 to bring over complete headlight, surround and grill combo's from NZ, this cost me more but i got the JDM lower panel to fit the surrounds properly and they were local and even delivered!!

also be patient with the lip thing, i know someone working on it.

yeh that was me, did u have a white kit on your car,
coz i parked next to ur car for a bit i think

back on topic, call me crazy but i had a wack idea the other day while giving advice to my friend on quads, get the standard sqaure head lights, and multiply them by 2 and get BIG quad square headlights, be pretty funny lol

EDIT: sumthing like this,
[attachment=15396:attachment]
P.S sorry about the source pick, but i didnt have a front on shot of mine

then replace the grill with a big "fuck off" oil cooler or sumthing, lol

Really these "jdm" deep chin spoilers are much the same as a lot of old style ones for aussie cars out there, and a heap of yank "TransAm" style accessories (not transam the car). Ignoring the vents....

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Coke-Denim-Dream-Ma...1QQcmdZViewItem (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Coke-Denim-Dream-Machine-Front-Spoiler-Suits-CL-CMs_W0QQitemZ110127343291QQihZ001QQcategoryZ31251Q QrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

There must be heaps of bodykit companies with moulds for them as I've seen plenty over the years.
