Hey guyz, i'm putting a 16 valve in soon and wanted to run a set of sidedrafts and was just wondering how you would get the ignition to work properly? you obviously cant use the standard dizzy but can you modify it to work with carbies? Or do you have to run some sort of ecu?

Also (prob a stupid qustion) but would it be possible to use the 4ac dzizy?

If you wondering why i'm runnig carbies its cause i love the sound http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wub.gif , plus (correct me if i'm wrong) its also alot easier then doing all the wiring and sh@t for the ecu.

Cheeers.

No you cant use a 4ac dizzy to my extent of knowledge.

A fair few people have got carbies running as a carby setup, ie no ecu. Some people use "dead" carbies as throttle bodies on EFI engines as well.

Its not really easier than the wiring for this exact reason. You have to sort out dizzy and other ignition bits. Wiring isnt all that hard.

Cheers,

Justin
