nikkoejoe said it. there hasnt been a NFS title worth 10 seconds since porsche 2000/unleashed. man does that series of ricer-fests suck balls or what. saw this trailer, and i doubt the cinematics reflect the real game. trying to buy back some credibility with a 'zip tie stitch' wont make the game any more physically accurate.

arcade to the max. leave that wank alone, and buy forza 2, in a few weeks. only game not built for kids and fags. there'll be a shitload of protests to that statement, as kids and fags CANNOT finish the first forza. their arcade skills let them down when they cry at what happens when they drive FR cars over 400bhp with no traction control or ESC.

to back down a bit, i think it's fine if people like easy games, as thats how i like my FPS shooters, i like to dominate. but personally, with car racing games, i cannot stand fake, pretty graphics, easy "simulator" *cough bullshit* games.

Its not gonna look as good in the flesh as it does in the pictures....

BUT:

It looks shitloads better than Carbon ever did (looks like they are basing it on the Most Wanted graphics engine, which looked sweet as).

Is a change in direction for the NFS series

LOOK what I FOUND WOOOOT

Drifting returns again this year with several new additions. Its more real this time. You manage your own line, your won speed and your own angle using real world drift techniques, such as e-brake slides, power over, feinting, and even clutch kicking. Drifting uses the same physics model the rest of the game uses, not the super slide the older titles used. Of course there will be a Drift Assist to help you manage your line in case your not quite that Hardcore.

NFS:U2 was good (it had Corolla GT-S in it; AE86 in NFS FTW http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif), good street game and one to chuck around the AE86 in some hills drift action. Plus the customisation and tuning was endless, fairly realistic remembering that it is an arcade game.

NFS:MW was even better I thought, awesome graphics, great storyline, Josie Maran (I still love her http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wub.gif ), it only lacked because there was no drift. The challenge series was awesome too, but a lot less customisation.

NFS:Carbon was a balls up. Crappy graphics, dodgy cover girl (lol), crappy handling, no realism, dodgy upgrades selection, and the AE86 is unlockable only but who knows how the fuck you get to it. Autosculpt is cool but, allows a lot of freedom. And your teamates suck balls http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Lets hope that the AE86 is unlockable from the word go, and its driftable, the graphics look similar in the end products as they do in the screenshots, the handling and customisation is as good as they promise, and they have a decent cover girl.

If you want a 'proper' driving/drifitng game with real life physics then play Live for Speed.

They didnt spend time on allowing custom graffics and stickers and crap, they made it the most realistic car game ever. Will pwn any other racing game ever for realism.

And I agree, sims like live for speed are better, as games like NFS will be biased towards entertainment and making the goals set by the development team. On the other hand, they are a lot of fun, how much fun you can have with them depends on how easy they are to get into.

If you remember back at most wanted, they showed the movies.

And the movies look pretty close to the actual game play, even though it wasn't gameplay footage it still showed the graphics and damage modeling.

oh come on now... the Trueno is fast as balls once you put a skyline engine in it =P jk jk but it looks good. I played Forza 2 and it's not hard to play at all, really... generally the better handling cars with decent speed win, even when played by a complete nub.

haha yeah. there were rumours that if you played online and got enough points like 50 or something you would be able to unlock the trueno. but its false so i started searching for it online and hey presto with the right words i found it! happy gaming people. hopefully ea dont make it a hidden car in pro street
