I am going to respray my interior:
-Dash
-Panel
-Centre Piece
-Rear window panel
-under dash panels
-etc...

but... i hear there was a different method of spraying plastic from metal?
im not so sure on the rubber/foam upper dash... do i use same process as plastic spraying?
what paints and methods do i use? and how much?

Help would be appreciated alot, thanx. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

id suggest the plastic spray paint ya can get from supercheap in the big spray cans. 240grit sand the area, acetone/turps the area free of dust and then spray time.

Get vinyl for the Top rubber/foam upper dash bit
the rest get a plastic spray what would help if took out dash and cleaned
all the bits and then sprayed http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tup.gif

yep

for the rubbery bits get some steel wool, rub them back with that thoroughly then wipe it down with wax & grease remover. with the plastics bits, just wipe it down with grease remoer, then use plastic primer, then some interior spray

forgot to add,

i previously used a product called like vinyl interior spray or something. the can looked like it camne straight outta the 80's but its a good product. if you spray it too thick in one area than another, it dries out evenly and looks real nice. i got no idea how long it lasts though..

Best stuff to use is VHT color dye. Ive found that it has the best finish, there is also the septeone Vinyl spray which is very good but the finish on the VHT is better. Just make sure that you clean the plastics to get the best finish.

Another option is I was suggested to get plastic primer and then use the export paint crap black, this doenst worth , the plastic primer is crap and does the export paint does stay on can rub off

I also used VHT paint, but engine enamel, which gave me a really good finish on all my interior parts, plastic and vinyl. sounds weird, but it works

On the placcy bits if you can go the extra cost, get some Clear Coat, especially on areas like kick panals, anything that could be rubbed by shoes/legs. plus it makes it look shiny for longer http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif
