Quick question,
Whats required to fit GZE crank, aftermarket rods, and forgies into a standard 4age (does it all go in like it would a GZE block or are bearings and stuff different), im looking for about 200-220 (11.5:1 CR) one day down the track, with 20thou overbore, surely this should be fine for the GE block? or not?? (My gze block is beyond repair and sleeving is very expensive). Also is there any issues putting in a 212mm flywheel that ive got already in. i read some old threads about people saying things hit.

which model of 4age are you thinking about putting this into, the 4age didnt have any different internals other than the normal 4age of the same year apart from the pistons

well i was thinking a block from one of the older big ports, because ive called around and GZE blocks and Smallport blocks are obviously more expensive, you think i would be better off saving a little longer and putting it back into a GZE block? i was thinking purely financially.
But i do see people pulling ridiculous amounts of power from turbo-ing thier Bigports, so thats why i assumed it should take the power.
The BigEnd Bearings are larger on the GZE crank, are the Main bearings also?

Your crank should go in anything. The bigends changed from 40 to 42mm, but I don't think the main journals changed. So you need to match rods to the crank, but any crank should fit in any block.

Also I don't think the 40 to 42mm change happened at the same time as the big to smallport change. Worth double checking though.

You wont have an issue with block strength. Just get everything machined and built properly.

Ive got Rods already, and the Crank obviously, but thats awsome news to hear the Main Journals are the same (that means the engine build can begin! http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif ).
