is anyone using a TRD 2 way with the standard T18 crown wheel and pinion?

i know its not the ideal way to go but i have little choice at this stage, what are the ratios like? are they unbearably long?

(i'll find out soon enough anyway just curious see who else is using them and what they think)

3.7 ratio. Difference is barely noticeable to stock 3.9.

Can you even put a 3.7 on the TRD diff? I was told 3.7 have a different bolt pattern to 4.1/4.3.

Any T series crown wheel should bolt on to any T series centre. Including the 2.9:1 ratio from 4WD corollas if you really wanted to. Or 4.7:1 ratio from a van (a rare van, not all of them).

The T-18 has a 3.909:1 ratio, and the AE86 S series has a 3.909:1 ratio from memory. So not unbearable. It will be good.

The T-18 has a 3.909:1 ratio[/b]

Yeh I've never seen a 3.7:1 ratio T18 centre before. Lots of people assume that all T-18s have a 3.7, but i've had 3 centres and all have been a 3.9!
