Quoccy, I'm interested in the manifold, and conceivably one of the sets of carbs. I can come take a look at it some convenient time this weekend.

the solex ones where removed of a running 2tg when one of the pistons left the block....
the dellerto dhla40 came off a alfa romeo giulia 1600

as you can see there are no linkages but you can order them from autobarn anyways

Theres inserts in the carbs to set the diameter of the "throttles" or "chokes" or "venturis" (all means the same thing)- measure the internal bore of the carb to find what choke size they are

i too am intrested in the dellortos, but what are it's chokes?

dhla's came in 25 to 37mm sized chokes

easyest way is to know is to rip the choke out and it'll be marked/staped on there on the choke it's self not the venturi there diffrent fish

http://img57.imageshack.us/img57/3032/dellortofa4.gif

number 1 is the choke, number 2 is the venturi

i did mean the actual switch things to turn the chokes on, it looks like the ones on the solex's are missing

chokes are a sleeve that slides in and limits peak airflow if you put a smaller choke in you will create better low 2 mid-range pull but will sacrafice top end results put a bigger choke in and you wont limit yo self up in the top end rpms but u wont have as much power down low over choke your engine and boi u just Fuked up
thats in simple terms i hope you all now understandz peace out
