diff question so confused

as it states guys done research as im after an lsd in my ae86. the guy i bought it off said it has a t series diff in my 86 but it has a drum brake rear end so dose this mean it is an early or late model and what type of lsd is needed any help would be appreciated thank you regards shaun

You have an early type diff.

its a zenki rear end. they came drum brake.

the diff is probably from a T18, just get an LSD suited to zenki diff and you should be fine

so the disc brake is kouki? does that mean its a small axle?

big is kouki. disc brake can mean big or small. drum indicates zenki/small only

You can also get Kouki big axle drum brake. But you won't see it often.
