Laughter abbreviations are the downfall of our modern society.

Not only do they limit conversation and information exchange due to somebody covering up their disinterest or lack of time with a simple, lol, rofl or lmao, or a combination of each into a new fruity pretend-laughter sequence, but they also frustrate fellow communicators because of the uncertainty and insecurity that these sequences bring about. Is he really laughing? Or is he just taking the piss... or maybe he just doesn't care?

In a world where emoticons betray your mood or stance, the lol is the poison of the ever expanding web community.

By the way, nice clip. ROFLLMAOLOL. Nah i really did actually laugh at some of that shit hehehe.

On the contrary Bustin, the laughter abbreviation is the future, today. What better way for the working man/woman to express mild amusement or heart felt laughter than via the hierarchy of laughter abbreviations. You have lol, rofl then lmao for general acknowledgment of something vaguely humorous, but add capitals to any of these (ie - LOL or ROFL) and they immediately advance to honest humor appreciation. In this day and age, Bustin, we often don't have time for the only alternative (the outdated 'hahahahaha etc'), so the laughter abbreviation (or L.A) saves time *and* succeeds in expressing genuine humor.

LOL I got bored, and that clip is pretty good too.
