hi folks.. i want to spruce up my engine bay a little and make it look a bit nicer, i was wondering if there is anywhere in vic that anyone can recommend to smooth and polish (ie remove all the lettering etc) my cam covers?

just get the angle grinder out?? id be scared id stuff it up..

you could take them off and take them to an engineer to get milled down..

will cost you though..

I just had my 20v cover powder coated in a high metallic dark grey pearl by a special coatings powder coater in melbourne. I have had him do work for me before and it's amazing how good the stuff looks after he works his magic. I'll send you a pic if you like? Cost me $80 and he degreased it, masks, coates and then puts a clear coat on it. He has alot of sample cards to see the finishes - Here's a link to his site - http://www.colorurmags.com.au/ - and his number - 0404 176 240 - Tell hime eddie sent you. :) He does wheels too(Actually, that's his main business)

that sounds interesting.. i could get it done in black, i think thatd look pretty sweet.. any idea how long itd take him?

ill give him a buzz i think
