380HP is huge

A T50 will reliably handle around 120-140rwkw in a drift car .. they will still break

The 2-way itself might survive 150rwkw+ .. but the crown wheel and pinion won't

If you are asking for your car, you will NEED a W58 and a hilux/f-series diff to cope, that's at the minimum

To change to a W58, i had to do adaptor plate (or different bellhousing), tailshaft, clutch (W series use different spline to T-series). That was pretty much it, had to cut a little hole in the transmission tunnel because the shifter was a bit too far back for it

Hope that helps.

380HP 4A is crazy, not really a drift friendly engine either. W boxes will hate the peaky torque that thing will make when it comes on boost. They're only really reliable in the long term at under 300hp.

Hilux diff should hold up, but LSD options are limited. Niteparts 4A-W housings are around, theres other ones out there too.

You'll need a custom single piece shaft like you thought.

it still wont make that much torque

obviously that figure is at the flywheel

w box will be fine as will e series diff

thanks guys i'll let you no how it goes Ive spent about 9g's on the enigin so far and no labour cost cause the machanic is a mate of mine i'm hoping for around that power max AT THE WHEELS i will only run at about 250hp normally but the motor as all the gear to make that sort of power big boost but yeh i dont want to run that sort of power all the time

A mate of mine works on a 4agte putting out 230rwkw, 4agze bottom end with 20v head, 24psi!!! I have also seen on toymods a 300kw 4agte, think it was on the flywheel though. Why you'd want that power with the lack or torque i dont know, pretty unuseable if you ask me. Thats if it happens...

dont see the need for that sort of power in an 86 for drift, anything over 14orwkw is asking for constant problems ud need like a dogbox and a hilux diff. good to see the results if you do make that sort of power, goodluck

That 300kw was at the wheels

He has slightly over that at the moment, with different turbo and cams

well like i said the motor is built to handdle that power and will/shouldmake that power it doesnt mean i have to run that power and im not going to run that power all the time so if it makes 380hp on say 25psi or so then normally i will run about 18 or 15 psi so it makes no were near 380 and the motor will be loving it
