I'm offering a very original Toyota Sprinter for sale. It has had only 3 lady owners since new and has the original sales invoice and letter of congratulation on purchase from the dealer. It is bronze in colour with a/c and immobiliser and all original features including radio. A genuine 184000 km on a car that is very straight, complete and rust free. Asking price is $7000.

Come on guys, let the guy sell his car. There maybe a little bit of takumi tax on it but hes allowed to ask for what price he wants and there could be someone out there willing to pay that much for a clean hachi.
I mean I've seen a clean ke70, believe it or not, go for 4,000.

92k sitting on the clock! Is that in cheque or cash form? :hehe::hehe:
thats a $87,500 profit for the buyer! :hehe::hehe:
I really cant believe that, because anyone who knows/owns these cars would have sold it then and there!
If you were offered that, why didn't you sell??????

Maxhags right, if you had even half a brain you would of sold it for that kind of money. Despite its condition Its just a crappy old corolla.

do the three old ladies come with it?? I want to create my own sidcome with the Golden Girls and their Magical Sprinter where they fight crime!
Axentrik

^ if they do its surely a bargain. You'd get back the exorbitent amounts of money you wasted buying an overpriced sprinter in no time with the pension of 3 old ladies.

There's a certain forum member (or might be on RC) that paid 5-6 grand or something ridiculous for a 71/70 with hektoss chrome 17s, a paint job and stock drivetrain. There really are people out there with more money than sense.
I paid $4250 for my 71 BUT it's a genuine one little old lady car, good body practically mint interior and a bigport 4age.

The car is in Adelaide and I've tried to attach photos twice! Maybe they're there now. Can't guarantee the original ladies but could maybe get some substitutes if you're desperate. What is a classic car worth? I've suggested $7000 so make me an offer.

$1800?
shift_rook
8th April 2009, 10:42 PM
more than 1800 for sure matt haha, personally for an absolutely minter i wouldn't pay more than about 3500 even then you can get much better cars for 3500, mind you one of the guys i know paid 5g's for a mint sprinter, just hahve to find the right buyer, chuck in on carsales, they're regularly put up for prices like that there

Good luck with the sale, sprinters in this sort of nick are getting harder to come by.
Hope you sell it for this amount too, keeping the values up is never a bad thing.

If it's really mint, the price is fair. Stop bagging him out.
You'll spend time and money fixing a molested shell, when this might be a awesome base as whatever car you want, be it track or street. Those that are after a mint shell, will be prepared to pay for it. Not much from Japan comes mint these days anymore either, unless your willing to pay about $20,000 for a restored one.
