Instrument cluster to suit 16v loom.

i have a 16v out of an ae82 and it's been set up using the entire loom. until now i've just been using the ae82 instrument cluster, but now i need to get the car on the road so i need to find something that will match the plugs on the ae82 loom but still fit into my ae86 dash.
i have the ae82 instrument cluster and my old adm ae86 cluster but i foolishly sold the adm loom with my other car.

HELP!

i just need to know if there is something that will just plug in and bolt in or whether i could just setup a bunch of aftermarket guages behing the glass instead?

would a jdm cluster plug straight up to the ae82 loom or is it different again?

You will prob have to rewire the ae82 loom to the ae86 cluster. Nothing will bolt straight in.

i got some 'professional' advice and ended up taking to the ae82 cluster with a hacksaw. with any luck i may have the only ae86 with a working ae82 cluster.
it's the same size, but with different mounts. i ended up just cutting off the mounts and tidying up the edges until it fit.
