what injectors do i have??

my cars running lean, due to too much air flow into the motor,
it's a jap bigport 4AGE
so i thought i'll richen it up with ZE injectors....
the ones i pulled off are big and grey with a very square/rectangular plug??
the ZE injectors i went to put on are orange and have a more rounded plug end??

have i got late model ZE injectors, or are they all like this and i have to change injector plugs on my loom??
anyone?

How do you know it is running lean? If you have a standard ECU, the ZE inectors are a backward step.

putting bigger injectors in isnt the right fix for the problem you have.

find out why its running lean. possible o2 sensor or MAP/AFM fault

Dark Grey are Jap 4age 182cc 2ohm injectors.

Orange are 4agze 365cc 2.9 ohm injectors.

yeah umm i've fucked the ZE injectors right off,
i didn't realise they were 360cc compared with 180...

um the guy i bought it off has put pod filter, extractors and a celica throttle body(with all the vacuum lines blocked off)
his put a air/fuel ratio gauge wired in off the O2 sensor wire, it reads lean most of the time and on start up the motor rattles and sounds like its pinging like fuck,

i'm thinking with the bigger throttle body the ECU may not be reading the right signal voltage, or thinking the throttle is only letting in a certain amount but really letting in heaps..??
anyone got any ideas??

at the moment i've got green injectors off of a AE92(apparently people have had them work)
i might give them a crack,

No the green ones are high impedence and won't work with the standard ECU which requires low impedence injectors, which the GZE ones are. There was a thread on this recently.

i'm pretty sure i'm running either green or blue ones...

Blue are fine, they are the often fitted to Aust AE82 twincam bigports and are essentially the same as greys.

fair enough. when i was putting all the bits on my engine i had another engine in pieces that i took the rwd intake from. it also had a slightly different fuel rail and injectors. though i forget which rail and injectors i ended up using lol.

yeah i tried both green and ZE injectors

the green one's surged and kept stalling at idle,
ZE one's didn't even run,

now i'm gonna try pink one's and put the original 4a throttle body back on, instead of i think a 3s one that the guy put on... :|

oh yeah gonna pick up a timing light and check the timing,
