Mazda 3 Colour

g'day, the old mazda 3's came in a different blue to the ones we see today. the 2007/8 ones come on aurora blue. the old (2004?) models came in this shade. anyone know the name? im thinking i wanna spray my ae86 in it

thats probably the best place to find out the info. that colour will look HOT on your ae86

the sp23 is aurora blue i believe. this one looks kinda blueish-purple when not in sunlight, and looks blue in sunlight.

hmmm interesting, no idea what your talking about :lol: I'll see what i can dig up tommorow aurora blue is pretty much used throughout the range, even on RX-8's, but i will have a look tommorrow

it looks purple in low light and blue in direct light.... according to my eyes. the first rx8 is in direct light so it looks blue, and the second rx8 is in low light so it looks purple. look at the link to the forum in my last post, there was a lil debate whether it was purple or not.

the blue on the rx8 is actually called stormy blue,

the colour of the older mazda 3's is Winning blue, in which the older rx8's also came in.

the blue on the current mazda 2's (not new 2) if you've seen that as well is the pacific blue.

and current mazda 3's only come in either aurora blue, icy blue (which is a very light blue) in terms of blue colours

the colour i got is the older 2 colour... pre facelift, so i can try and get the RX-8 colour although I'm pretty sure their all the same

mazda 2's in australia still come in strato blue. strato blue did come on mazda 3's and RX8's aswell by special order. ive done plenty of research. i got some brochures through the mail. they had samples of the colours.

in pictures is hard to pic strato and stormy unless the car isnt in light.
