Also related to the topic, what paint are you meant to use for painting parts of rims? just some plain black in a rattle can or something a bit better?

I would highly doubt a standard spray can would give you a good job/live up to the conditions hehe.

Dunno, prob best to get them probably re-painted/chromed/whatever. :2thumbs:

with the sandpaper just do them in a long motion not short, otherwise scratch makes will be visible

Meguiars "Hot Wheels" Non Acid wheel cleaner, its in a pink bottle, $19.00 from any good auto shop (and supershit)

Spray it on and leave it. Spray it on again once the first lot has dried. Repeat this a couple more times, then use hot soapy water and as high pressure water to rinse as you can get.

When i got my ute it had 3 years worth of brake dust baked to the inside of the rim, this ^^ process a couple of times had the inside surface to a polished finish, its good shit!

can you paint the once-polished dish with some kinda now yellowing (say krylon) clear coat so as you dont have to re polish every month or two ? ? any draw backs on this ?
