have you looked at the headlight at all before you asked?

basically there is a few long screws behind the light somewhere, should be very easy to get to, have a play with them at night time with your car pointed at a wall. make sure you dont make them to high or youll annoy all the on coming traffic.

then you have an internal problem with your headlight, when you adjust them the other way do they go down? if so I have your solution

well... out with it? I have recently done all my headlights and stuff but haven't put them in the car but i havea funny feeling there is no adjustment left in them as in when i try to go up it's just gonna pop out of the thread

well if its an old trick that if your out of adjustment then you space the headlight up with washers on the bottom to angle it up manually. The headlights should have a protection against winding off the thread anyhow

there's a good chance they're broken then,which wouldn't be a surprise,given their age.

there are TWO adjusting screws, one is for height, the other is lateral alignment. park the car about 5m from a wall and set the lights so that the focussed line they project is approx. 350mm above ground level at that distance.
that should be pretty close to RTA specs.

no, unbolt the headlight and shim the headlight up by putting washers between the rad support and the two bottom studs of the headlight unit itself

I thought my headlights would not angle up higher, but keep screwing  until it gets up there. Best way (as suggested) is to park it in front of a wall (daylight is better as you can see the concentrated beam). Ideally it should be pointing straight ahead, and depending on what bulbs you are running the beams should be pointing less than a metre up on the wall, assuming the car is ~2m from the wall. The headlight itself has plenty of vertical motion left in it though, so getting some washers or something under there will raise the unit up to lift the beam nicely :)

This is not a definite adjustment though, so ideally performing the adjustment during the day and testing it at night would be a good, but cumbersome, way of doing it. At the moment my beams point way off centre and too high, having said that with a pair of Phillips Vision Plus bulbs (60/55W) the field of lighting is about the same as ae86fow JDM Levin's lights. I'd say the ADM lights diffuse too much though, as his is a more intensive light field, whereas mine, outside the beam, is very dull and diffused. That doesn't count in other factors, such as his bulbs, wattage etc but you get the idea.
