would it be safe to run boost in this motor or not?
got any suggestions/warnings/tips for him
such as how much boost to run, how long it would last, would it be a bad idea as it would blow up

They can be very expensive to rebuild so if he does turbo it be very careful.

I work with these motors alot at work because my boss loves them but however that doesnt mean i know alot about them (mainly coz i dont want to know lol)

I know for a fact though they will be fine with low boost just like any other motor. Just because they have low comp doesnt mean they can take huge boost. They still use a cast piston.

No idea on how long it will last could be one day but could also be a few years.

The ECU and whole electrics to with the EFI in them is very old aswell and may not be up to the task

Great engines, but Its not a good idea turbo-ing a tired engine, whatever it is...
Youl just end up wasting $$$. Rebuild the engine first maybe, or try to get some serious internals......
