Hey yall.
I know that most people who get a 4agze and eventually turbo them always goto a W Series box, as they are stronger and can handle the stupid amounts of power people like to run - eg: 170RWKW.
But what i want to know is that if i have a trubo setup.. and im only running mild to low boost.. and making around 115- 120 rwkw as a starting point... will my t50 be okay???
because i want to do it in stages.. goto 120rwkw.. then get upto 170 when im happy with it all. and eventually goto a W58 box...
But i think that ill save some $$ and kill hte t50 first... how much power can it handle safely and reliably????

Yes it will
Just don't "snap second" to leave black marks all over the road .. sooner or later you will leave gear teeth all over the road instead
Treat it nicely, it will live

im assuming its the adm t50? my tattoo artist has a hachi with a gze with mild work done to it and i believe he is still using the adm t50 and that car has seen a fair bit of track work. i'd stick with it till it breaks... and it will cuz u will be driving pretty hard. in the end its only a track car so if it breaks ur not gunna be without a car to get to work so whats the harm really?

Its more to do with torque output than outright power. Assuming you aren't going to be running insane amounts of low-end torque, the box (if treated with a little mechanical sympathy) should hold out fairly well. Probably run a clutch that will break before the box too (Heavy duty or low-end cushioned button clutch) to try and help out too.
By track days, you mean drift yeah?

u can get a bellhousing to match up to the 200mm clutch n flywheel so u can keep ur gear thats in there i believe. i think the bellhousings r $450 from one of the sponsors on this site... could be wrong about them matching to the 200mm clutch but i think its right? correct me if im wrong?

The t50 will break eventually, if you have the ability to go w series then do it now and be done with it as mentioned earlier
