i saw 15's covering 300zx brakes a few days ago on a IPRA AE86

car ran massive spacers to clear the caliper though, not height wise but thickness wise they are a wide caliper

it looked like a 40mm spacer but may not have needed to be that big

i have s14 brakes which are almost the same. i have a 15 inch trx wheel on the front and it fits fine..

but i too have to run a 25mm spacer to clear the caliper.

As above, they fit under 15s diameter wise, but whether they will clear the spokes depends totally on the model of wheel.

MX73 wheels have stacks of rear room though and are relatively easy to come by.

are you talking about jasons race car gilly??? if so, the 40mm spacers you speak of are only to cure the extremely gay offset the wheels have (+45) and they are a 15 inch wheel , they only just fit over, it looks sweet how the brakes actually FILL the rims, heres a pic of them without the calliper on

yeah talking about that car

i think without the spacer, the rim would still hit the caliper. its a bitch of a thing, they are VERY wide calipers

i know nissan boys have the same problem when they do the conversion

Doesn't Z32 300zx brakes = 32 GT-R brakes?

Would have thought that the standard S13 sr20 brakes would be plenty!

What power you making!

i plan on making over 300hp also i was of the understanding that 300zx brakes were alloy and r32 were steel

one of them has a tad smaller pistons but im not shaw which it is.
if it was the 26 mm disk z32 to the 30mm z32
or the z32 to the r32.
ring up a brake rebuild place or parts shop and see what piston seals they supply for what calipers.
but overall size (outside) is the same.

Ahh is see, winner.

Even with S13 brakes id see how they go first, then upgrade if need be.

E.G run high temp fluid, some quality pads, slotted rotors, braided lines, see how you go.

i had ra60 rotors and caliper's first and id alwasy get brake fad turn the rotors blue and pads were smoken like i was doing a fwd burnout, i needed a last case upgrade, you can get to a pretty high speed in little time and need to stop really quick :) adn this wasnt even circuit work yet.
