Hey everyone,

just got quick question on removing the distributor from a blacktop 20v. Im going to be putting a cover plate on once its removed and using a water kit so i dont have to modify firewall. All i need to know is, can i simply just take it out and put the cover plate on? Is there more i need to do (aside from running direct ignition system) or will the engine run fine with it removed and cover plate on?

Hope that makes sense and sorry if its been posted before (I did a quick search and got nothing.)

Thanks in advance,

PS:If anyone knows of a place where i can get a water kit please let me know as ive tried a couple of places now and they said, they will be 2-3weeks.

u need to leave it in there man, u take dizzy cap and rotor button off and put a cover over that as it has a crank anfle sensor inside, it wont hit tthe firewall then
