Leccy windows in spoonter

A mate has a sprinter, the left hand window doesnt want to return, im too lazy to work on other peoples cars much these days as i do it all day at work, and was wondering if theres a common trend and it just needs a new control unit or what before i pull it apart.

Check the springs for rust. Mine were very rusty and didn't want to move. I worked some grease into them which seemed to free them up a lot. Check all the other parts move freely too. Also check the plugs on the cables for corrosion and see if its getting enough power.
