ok well we have 4 neighbors, 2 oldies that we get along really well with and have for the past 10 years, some guys over the back that rent some land with a shed on it and do some panel beating, and 2 smallish house's one one side, we dunno one lot of people but they did complain one day about the dogs being loud or some shit but i think they even moved,

and last off, "the old mole" as my mother calls her. she was always known for being quiet, not mixing and being weird, and mostly not saying a word, untill the first car come home a year and a half ago,

i tend to do all of my work on my cars between 10 and 5:30ish, we usualy get a few blokes with load cars drive up the drivway next to there house, and play some music in the middle of the day, plus we got my car running off the extractors. add a few small burnouts and attempts,

first up it started as a slammed door or 30 from her, now this random man with an American accent has started going off,

we got a letter in the mail,

Dear 82 cherry road

I am writing this letter to kindly request if you coud ease of the bass of the car sterio that gets played in your back yard. i am currently studying a postgraduate university degree and even with all windows and doors shut, the sound oermeartes through to the front of the house, even for short bursts.

i would be very thankful

now i play my music for less than 5 minutes once or twice a week, with the sub on full and not full noise, we have an older house and it does vibrate the thin windows in the sun room at times, but its about 5 meters from the shed, his house is a good 25 meters and it a new (15) years old) (ours 40 odd) but it cant be herd from in our house.

we got bored last week so we went to listen to music as we had a smoke and it was never as load as it had been before, and he come out and shouted at us to turn it down, we just went and downloaded some bass tester music and played that :D ,

i sent you a letter 2 weeks ago after the noise of a car stereo and an attempt of starting a chainsaw from your yard during a single afternoon become too much to take, in regards to noise, i stood at the fence of your property and yelling at the top of my voice to ask if the volume could be lowered , i could not be herd due to the volume of the noise. Throughout the year of the revving of the engine has been as much of a problem as the stereo,

the past fortnight has improved, i wish to thank yo very much, the only reason i wrote this letter today as this afternoon the bass again could be herd within all corners of my house again, may i request again kindly for this to stop. i am more than welcome for you to come into my house and listen to the bass and tell me how i am not ment to be disturbed by this sound,

saturday came and we was cleaning the yard up of car parts and turned the music on, he come out and was going off his nut,, my parents were in side, they didn't hear it and my nice neighbors said it wasent enough to bother them (there in there 70's!)
we just asked him if we could play loud music at all and he was going off so we just told him to fuck off and get a life or well wrap a poll around his head,


i ahve no idea on what to do, its almost becoming a ritual to come to my house on a week night and piss them off, whitch i like very much heheehe, its actuly getting fun

any one had a simela problem ? how did u work it out?

But seriously, normally you can't keep 'em happy. They would much rather go off their nut at you and construct poor letters than ignore the noise and get on with their lives.


On a similar note, the neighbours we have are annoying as. All the mother seems to do is yell at the kids, except they are little shits, so they yell back, won't do what she says, so she goes off her nut even more. then she'll yell at the husband, who sees fit to park his car anywhere on their front lawn, including on the road :fap: . But the place is up for sale (they were renting) so hopefully someone picks up the hell hole and makes it better :)

i live in a very close set of units there are 6 units 3 on one side and 3 opposite, i am in the middle on one side,

one day i had my car half out of the shed, bashing sound deadner outta my car, fair enough it was loud, the neighbor next to me (fuckin rude mole) comes out and goes "can ya put that fuckin thing in the shed or put it on the road" me being the smartass i am said " u push it down to the road and back up when im finished if u want have fun with it" she then said "put it in the shed then". so being the caring neighbor i am i put it in the shed. i then kept going with the bashing of deadner when the other neighbor comes out,(fat bitch with pms), and says "can ya shut the fuckin door when ur doin that, i cant even hear my stereo" i then said "turn it up then" she replied with "fuck you smart ass", i replied with "get a fuck up ya you fat mole" and then proceeded to shut the door and keep going with what i was trying to do...

bout 20-30 mins later me and a mate decide to drive to the shop to get a drink in my old mans car, we drive out the driveway and see cops getten out of their car, they didnt go to my house as the noise had stopped,

we get back with our refreshments and keep on with the job. around 3 mins later the cops rock up and knock on the garage door, i answered and they asked what i was doing, i said i was beating deadner out for a "race car" one asked me what sort of car it was and i told him it was a sprinter, he then replies "oh nice may i have a look i used to love theese things" i took him out into the shed and we got talking and he proceeded to ask what motor and stuff was in it, i noticed he was a cop from a town about 1.5 hours away and that id prob never see him on the street so i told im it was 20v supra 5 speed and big diff n stuff, no shit this guy was amazed with the work i had done and then said "very nice car mate, good luck with the it, and about the noise, just do it between 9-5 and theres nothing they can do about it,

i ended up driving the 2 complaining neighbors out of the complex haha, now i have a fucking hot ass cop living across from me

Yeah my next door neighbor complains anytime the music is above talking level she is a 40 year old mother, she sends her husband over which he doesn't do much lol. He doesn't care but he is whipped so badly he comes over to tell us to turn it down. We get letters, and phone calls! Had the cops over at our house a fair few times as well. She wrecks every party we have they all end at 12. :( Not much you can do with stupid people we still play our music loud on the weekend. Never had a fine ever even the cops don't think it is loud.

Oh dear, the joy of neighbours huh?

My immediate neighbours don't give a rats about the run of loud cars thats always coming/going, heck, the woman on one side is well into her 70's and she likes that I have a loud car cos she knows I'm home safe (she's lived next door my whole life). That said I live in a pretty quiet area, and if I am doing stuff at an ungodly hour we do our best to keep the noise down.

The only issue I've had is with people who live up the other end of my street, who have been cracking the shits with me since I was 17 (now 23) about owning loud cars, and kept reporting me to the cops cos it was upsetting their dog or something (my dog liked my old GTi fine, whats wrong with their's?). Now I'm a fair man, but I drove past their house maybe twice a week. I bet they didn't call the cops on the bikie up the road when he decided his Harley needs a tune at 10.30 at night......

Some people will whinge regardless what you do, unless your other neighbours start complaining I'd tell the post grad weirdo to pull their head in....oh and maybe go and contribute to society instead of worrying that your making too much noise (another sore point, lets not get started)

About 3-4 years ago some fruit loop moved in over the road and didnt like motorbikes. Well i had 3 of them, a Kawasaki 85, postie and a Z50. Every saturday a whole heap of mates and i would meet at my house and then go riding. We got a nasty letter in the mail box after 2 weekends. So we were a little bit quiter when we left. When we left she came over and had a chat to my parents. We rolled down the hill on the way home after a msg from mum. The next week came we pushed the bikes to the top of the hill then starterd them. Got another nasty letter saying she was sick of it and she was moving. The night before she left we started the bikes, faced them to her house and revved the s#!t out of them and the same when she left with the nice finger up.

I have a cop on one side, hes really nice and has a couple of young boys. whenever they boot a ball over the fence I hurl it back, so he likes me for it. he sees my car every day and you can tell its defectable from the way it looks but hes never said anything. I dont make noise coming home late at night, dont make noise in the garage at night, dont drive fast or anything around home and as a result ive never had one complaint from any of my neighbors.

my mates house on the other hand.. a pretty loud family lol, more cars then people, cars being bought and stripped for parts all the time, many visitors, mainly guys like me with loud cars, every weekend without fail were in the driveway working on cars. now theres an old couple across the road who HATE it, always watching us from their verandah, occasionally shouting things out to us like 'that car will never be roadworthy (a unregod track car) your cars too loud, arguing with the dad ect. one time he even called my mate a black cunt (hes semi coon). after awhile they started calling the cops, they took down all of the plates of the cars that visited (including mine, even though im nto retarded enough to do skids in that street) apparently the worst car was a EA falcon thats parked in the street that never gets driven..

we dont use air tools at night, we dont play loud music anymore (used to to piss em off) and they still give us shit..

my next door neighbour got a cockattoo, and it screaches throughout the day, it woke me up at 8 this morning! and its holidays i was not happy :(
so i went n got in my car with about half a foot of exhaust and revved the fuck out of it for a while, misery loves company so i thought id wake up the neighbourhood haha

i don't mind them, shit i even want to get one... but not when they ride up and down, up and down for 4-5hours a day.... seriously... 4-5 hours a day on weekends... my neighbours havnt ever peeped once and ive ridden cr500's around the yard all day, had huge parties, had various japanese engines running without an exhaust, have a plasma cutter that makes peoples garage doors go up and down and knocks out tv reception in about a 90m radius, only complaint i ever got was from my miniature goat, he just kept yelping, i guess it annoyed me too.
